The Practitioner
Devin Ashley Brown CMT.
Founder, 444 Restoration & Wellness
Some practitioners learn technique. Others develop the ability to truly listen to the body. Devin Ashley Brown has spent her career cultivating both.
Devin trained at Aveda Arts & Sciences and has completed more than 200 hours of continuing education since beginning her professional practice. Alongside formal training, she developed an innate sensitivity to the way the body communicates through tension patterns, compensation, and subtle shifts in tissue. That ability was further refined through her certification in Craniosacral Therapy, where the work centers on careful listening through the hands and responding to the body rather than forcing change upon it.
Her career began at the historic Saint Paul Athletic Club, where she worked with athletes, executives, and members whose bodies carried the demands of intense training and long professional hours. Over the years she also worked in several chain spa environments. Those experiences broadened her understanding of different body types, lifestyles, and pain patterns, allowing her to refine a therapeutic approach that adapts to each individual rather than applying a single technique to every session.
Devin later trained with Dr. Ben Benjamin, a leader in orthopedic and rehabilitative bodywork, where she studied advanced myofascial techniques designed to address chronic strain, injury patterns, and restricted connective tissue. That work continues to influence her sessions today, blending structural precision with intuitive listening.
Clients often arrive carrying more than simple muscle tension. Leadership roles, long workdays, athletic training, parenting, and the quiet weight of responsibility accumulate in the body over time. Devin’s work focuses on releasing those patterns through attentive, thoughtful touch that allows the body to shift naturally rather than forcing change.
For several years her private practice operated under DABCMT, a name built directly from her credentials as a Certified Massage Therapist. As the work evolved and her vision expanded, it became clear the practice had grown beyond that original framework.
444 Restoration & Wellness represents the next chapter.
The name reflects an evolution from a single practitioner identity into a broader philosophy of care. While Devin remains the hands behind the work today, the new practice creates space for growth, collaboration, and future expansion while honoring the foundation built through years of loyal clients and trusted relationships.
Many of those clients began seeing Devin long before 2020. When the pandemic reshaped how care could be delivered, they trusted her enough to continue their sessions in the privacy of their homes. That moment transformed the practice and confirmed something Devin had long believed: therapeutic work is most effective in environments where people feel comfortable, safe, and supported.
Today 444 Restoration & Wellness offers private therapeutic bodywork throughout Minneapolis and the Twin Cities. Every session begins with careful attention, informed technique, and a deep respect for how the body communicates.
The philosophy remains simple.
Listen first.
Work precisely.
Restore what the body has been carrying.
Hands That Listen.
